UAE Fund Doubles Down on Trump’s Crypto Venture with $100m Investment Deal

December 13, 2025

LONDON — In a significant development, a United Arab Emirates-based fund has invested $100 million worth of digital tokens issued by World Liberty Financial, the crypto venture of U.S. President Donald Trump’s family. This acquisition makes Aqua 1 Foundation its largest publicly known investor.

Aqua 1 Foundation revealed in a statement on Thursday that it purchased the tokens, known as $WLFI, with the aim of accelerating the creation of a "blockchain-powered financial ecosystem." This ecosystem would be centered around stablecoins and tokenized traditional assets. World Liberty confirmed to Reuters that Aqua 1 Foundation’s investment in its tokens is indeed correct.

Aqua 1 Foundation emphasized that one of the primary goals behind this investment is to speed up the development of a secure, efficient, and inclusive financial system that can accommodate users from all over the world. The organization views stablecoins and tokenized assets as crucial components for building such an ecosystem.

According to the statement issued by Aqua 1 Foundation, its holding in World Liberty tokens gives it a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to shaping the future direction of this technology. This contribution will be through "co-identifying" potential blockchain projects that have high growth potential, which can ultimately benefit both parties involved.

The collaboration between Aqua 1 and World Liberty has far-reaching implications for the financial sector as a whole. Stablecoins and tokenized assets offer a promising route towards increased financial efficiency and reduced complexity in traditional financial markets. By facilitating more flexible cross-border transactions, they have the potential to improve access to capital for small-scale investors who are often hindered by regulatory hurdles or lack of market understanding.

Aqua 1 Foundation has already set out to achieve this vision through its strategic investment, which is expected to benefit both parties involved in this joint venture. This significant partnership aims not only at establishing a strong foothold in global cryptocurrency markets but also supports the development of promising blockchain projects worldwide.

On the other hand,Aquaviews itself as being somewhat conservative and reserved regarding public exposure. According to data from two renowned web domain trackers, its website was created on May 28 with minimal content displayed. The organization’s presence online is equally subdued – it has only a handful of posts on X (formerly known as Twitter) along with about 1,120 followers and following roughly 200 users.

The significant increase in investment activity by World Liberty over the past couple of years has brought increased profits to Trump’s business partners. However, this has also raised concerns among various government officials, as highlighted recently during a Senate subcommittee hearing focused on the ethics implications surrounding business dealings with overseas investors who engage in sensitive projects like stablecoins and crypto.

When asked to provide any additional information regarding their strategy for expanding their footprint through tokenized assets, management representatives preferred not comment.
